Safety & Quality
The MoveAround IV Buggy has been designed to increase a child’s (toddlers to teens) mobility and physical activity during extended IV therapy. The Buggy design has been tested for appropriate strength and is structurally sound for its intended use.
The MoveAround IV Buggy is designed to be pushed by the patient not the caregiver.
The Buggy is not designed to have children or infants placed into nor on the bin.
A responsible adult caregiver should always monitor a patient who’s using the MoveAround IV Buggy.
While the Buggy is designed to replace the traditional IV pole it’s important (like all mobile IV equipment) that the caregiver watch for twisted or snagged IV lines.
Check frequently (daily is optimum) that the octagonal plates on the front wheels are secure and tight.
To adjust the handle height stand behind the Buggy and place one foot on the frame just in front of the rear wheel. Place your hands on each of the vertical handle sections and depress the “release” buttons and pull the handle up or push it down. If the “release” buttons do not depress completely then move the handle section slightly to remove any pressure from the button. Once you’ve done that, move the handle as desired until the buttons pop into the next hole.
Inspect the Buggy daily for any loose connections or joints as well as cracks or chips in the bin. Replace the bin and/or buggy should any of the above occur.
The Buggy should be cleaned per your hospital or doctor’s cleaning protocol for durable medical equipment.
